Individual College Prep - Building Momentum and avoiding Roadblocks 60 minute sessions
College success isn’t just about intelligence—it’s about consistency, ownership, and momentum. Many students struggle not because they can’t do the work, but because motivation dips, routines slip, and independence feels overwhelming. The good news? Motivation can be built through structure and strategy.
Making the transition to independent college adult isn't easy. There's a lot to navigate through this big life change. Let's talk and learn where the tough spots are so that systems can be put in place that allow for growth and success.
Group College Major exploration, Essay writing and College Prep Class
Five - 60 minute on-line sessions for 1-2 students, 90 minute on-line sessions with a group of 3 to 5 students
This powerful program begins with a thorough self exploration about what you enjoy and what a future career choice looks like for you today. It then explores the "how to" mechanics of choosing your next home away from home through college searches. We then move to college applications and essay writing. I will work with you until your essay best reflects who you are. The next step is how to be successful in college and make the most of your time there and what your professor will expect from you and how you can maximize success in the classroom.
Working with kids who have executive function difficulties can be both challenging and deeply rewarding.
Executive functions are the brain’s management system—skills that help us plan, organize, remember instructions, regulate emotions, and complete tasks. When these skills are delayed or impaired, children may appear forgetful, unmotivated, oppositional, or “lazy.” In reality, they’re often overwhelmed.
Let's understand where the sticking point is and create systems that build confidence and routines that create success.
Executive Function (Ages 8-18)
60 minute sessions
The process starts with finding out where you are and what you are working on. We will create a fluid plan and make adjustments along the way. We will celebrate victories and talk about where things went wrong so that we can learn and keep moving forward. We will use many different tools including breathing techniques to build focus and reduce stress. Sessions are offered online and in person for those in the southern New-England area.

Executive Function for Executives
60 minute sessions
You are busy; work and life are demanding of your time. The struggle is juggling all of the tasks and getting them done on time. It's not that you aren't productive, you are constantly busy working, yet things are not getting completed as you imagined that they would. This is an Executive Function problem.
Let's find the disconnect and create systems and check lists so that work gets started and finished in a timely manner so that your life becomes yours again.
I absolutely loved Rubin! He was my favorite professor last semester, and was a great mentor to me. He pushed us as a class and set a high standard for us to excel, but was very supportive along the way throughout the semester. I really enjoyed his class- he made it fun and entertaining and I genuinely enjoyed going every time. Would recommend!

From the moment I walked into his class, Professor Rubin created an environment that felt welcoming, engaging, and motivating. He was charismatic and entertaining, but more importantly, he was an exceptional teacher who genuinely cared about whether his students were learning, not just memorizing. Professor Rubin didn’t just teach the fundamentals of business; he taught us how to think.
Through discussions on globalization, ethics, entrepreneurship, teamwork, and leadership, I learned how businesses function within a global and social context and how important ethical decision-making is in today’s world. His emphasis on collaboration, communication, and accountability pushed me outside my comfort zone and helped me grow not only as a student, but as an individual
As someone who entered college unsure of myself and my academic direction, Professor Rubin played a pivotal role in shaping my confidence and interest in business. His class laid the foundation for how I approach teamwork, problem-solving, and learning as a whole. I am incredibly grateful that he was my first introduction to business at Bryant University, and I truly believe his impact will stay with me throughout my academic and professional journey.
